The course will provide delegates with an overview of the functions of SMS and how SMS affects the typical activities within a z/OS installation, from operations to users.

Audience

This course is intended for all those who may be concerned with system-managed storage in an installation from an overview or user perspective. As such it is suitable for Application programmers, operations staff and associated managers.

Prerequisites

Delegates are expected to be familiar with JCL, which may be obtained from the z/OS Job Control Language course, and the basics of data management, which may be obtained from the z/OS for Beginners course.
