This workshop is designed to explain the role of SMPE.
Audience
- z/OS Systems Programmers
- Trainee z/OS Systems Programmers
- System Programmers installing major Subsystems – CICS, DB2
- Anyone involved in SMPE Maintenance
Prerequisites
A minimum of 6 months as a z/OS Systems Programmer.
Objectives
The course details the structure and use of SMPE and uses the SMPE commands to highlight how the various processes work. The application of Maintenance is fully explained as are the various SMPE Utilities and reports. A number of workshops are included. Attendees will build their own SMPE CSIs and work with APARs, PTFs and Usermods.
